Dear students,
Extra english class for tomorrow 19.12.08 (Friday) has been cancelled. No class till next semester starts.
Regards,
Calvin
Dear all,
Mr Ler's ECO10003 class will be as usual tomorrow (5.12.08), 10-12pm at the Computer Lab. Please attend the class as its important to prepare you for your exam next week.
On another hand, due to some confusion, I have actually reschedule Ms Consilz Extra Maths class to Friday 10-12pm slot. The reason being because December, you will have 2 Thursday off, so no point having a Thursday class. So, we have decided to postpone the Maths extra class till next semester. Unless of course if you still need Maths guidance, we can still work out some arrangement for Ms Consilz to teach you. Then we can utilise the discussion room in the staffroom. Guess this will be good news for most of you.
Regards,
Calvin
Dear students,
For the following names below, you are NOT required to come for class tomorrow 5.12.08, but you will need to come and collect your assignment from me. If you wish to be exempted from the English class for good, kindly write me a letter as required in the earlier post.
1) Aishath Juwaidha
2) Hashfi Budiawan
3) Leow Phey Phey
4) Diane Vidot
5) Elma Athanase
6) Fozia Sahal
7) Moagi Mosweu (with Letter of Exemption)
For the rest, PLEASE go to class tomorrow, especially those that did not attend the previous 2 classes. For those that have attended last week class, thanks for coming, Ms Om wants to see you in class just to address your assignment.
Regards,
Calvin
Dear students,
Due to negative responses for the extra English class. Students can now apply for exemption with a formal letter that will be included into your student file. The letter will bind you legally and will be used against any request for resubmission/resit/retake if you fail any of your examination/assignment. The reason being, students in the past have raised this as an disadvantage for them and they 'deserve' another chance to resubmit/resit/retake their papers. The school is just trying to provide everyone an added advantage but since it has been turned down flatly by most of you, I would appreciate it if you provide the school with a formal letter.
Your letter should have atleast the following:
1) Reason why you should be exempted
2) Provide prove of your level of English ie: IELTS, CIE or relevant
3) That you are proficient enough and do not need English class
4) That if request for resubmission/resit/retake, you are NOT able to use poor in English as an excuse
For those of you that came to see Ms. Christine and myself, i do hope the next time i go into class for your presentation or when i check your assignment there is no grammatical error or typo error. I spotted a few mistakes in Ms Nura's class presentation earlier, funny you tell me that your English is good enough.
All the best,
Calvin
