Turn it in Guide - Resubmissions will be delayed. Read page 14/68 of this GUIDE.
Note - there are some delays in confirming the exam timetable but it will not defer much from Keele's exam timetable available on their website.

2. Thinesh Kumar
2. Exam timetable will be released next week. But to get a rough idea on how it looks like, please go to this website. KDU generally follows 99% unless it falls on a public holiday. There may be some changes to the times but the dates normally stay the same. Also there are some subjects not listed yet.
3. Start date for next semester - proposed 14 February 2011. Please look at the same website about to find out when the exam periods are for Year 1, 2 and Year 3. February 2011 will be a shorter semester, hence classes will be longer per week.
4. There will be a long semester break (summer break) from beginning of June until mid of September 2011. During this period, students may opt to go back home, holiday or work part time / internship. If I have any internship opportunities, I will post it on the noticeboard and on the blog.
Information on internship
- As a Keele student, internship is optional and its on the student's own initiative.
- Internship position advertised in KDU are not guaranteed positions, students still need to provide CV and attend interviews with the respective companies
- If internship advertisements are not available, students may look for companies on their own and KDU will provide supporting documents that you are a student here
- Salary / allowance will be provided but it will be minimal. The important outcome from internship is not the salary / allowance but the experience.
- Internship positions are normally for about 3 months (depending on companies), if any longer, please advise the company on your semester's commencement date
- Internships ARE how the real working life is, professionalism, responsibility etc. must be upheld at all times. If you are good and up to the company's expectations, you will be considered as a full time employee upon graduation.
- Typically, you will begin the hunt for internship positions 1 month before the semester ends, as the company needs to undergo the screening process, interview process etc.
The following students, please re-register on eVision.

Hi all,
Just a gentle reminder that when you submit your assignments, make sure you do the following:
1. Indicate Keele and KDU ID (new students should receive their IDs soon, if not use your KDU ID first)
2. Attached the assignment coversheet for all assigments. The link to download is located under the INFORMATION section (top left hand side of this page)
3. Attached a copy of your Turnitin report. All assignments must be checked for plagiarism. Obtain the class ID from your respective lecturers. Different subjects will have different IDs. A quick guide is also attached under the INFORMATION section.
Quick Advise on Turnitin
1. Use only 1 email address for all your subjects - this semester and future semesters

4. Senior students please assist your juniors.
Note - The problem with missing previous results should be resolved. Please check.

Instructions - READ this instruction provided by Keele to all students at KDU. If you face any difficulties, EMAIL them - make sure you email to the correct person detailing what is your problem.

Updated - 26/7/2010 - 9am
Please read through this blog carefully, it answers the questions that you asked me over email, I am unable to answer all as I have 100+ emails this morning and some students send 3-4 emails on the same topic, hence I have compiled a list of FAQs here.
1. Results are out - Only partial results meaning some subjects have results, some dont, be patient on this as the system refreshes itself every 24 hours.
2. If overall pass and some components failed, you need not resit the failed component. (i.e. assignment fail, final exam pass AND overall marks above 40 and pass - no need to resit)
3. Usernames and passwords, I will not entertain any requests of username and passwords simply because I do not have a copy of these sensitive information, you will have to email to Keele directly, refer to one of my posts on this a few months back.
4. I have a list of who can resit what papers, its a very long list and I have to go through it before I can post it in this blog.
5. Resit period tentatively set to 9 - 13 August (1st week) and 16 - 20 August (2nd week)

Rgrds,
When you come for this discussion, please bring along a copy of your results (everything that you have received so far except Sept 2009 semester). Print this from your e-Vision and the date on the printed copy MUST be March 2010.
To facilitate a smooth discussion and not to take more than the required time allocated, please show up on time and bring your results.
Note:
By now, many students would have experience some form of problems with e-Vision, WebCT etc. Keele and KDU have came up with this simple FAQ to address some of the problems commonly faced as well as shed some light on what these systems are. Please take some time to read through the entire document here.
To highlight some of the key points,
1. Check your Keele email frequently
2. Do not change any information on your own (unless asked to do so by Keele)
3. Re-registering is an annual event
Finally, always keep a copy of the email correspondence with Keele for future references.
Students below please see Programme Leader asap.
