Dear all students,
From this semester onwards, the teaching survey will be done electronically. Students are now able to do both the surveys on their own either from the lab or from their home.
Please note that ALL students (Year 1, 2 and 3) of all majors have to complete this surveys according to the deadlines below:
Year 3 students - 27 April 2011
Year 1 and 2 students - 5 May 2011
Completion of the teaching survey and programme review is compulsory for all students and it will help us know which areas that we need to improve on.
There are a total of three attachments:
1. Guideline - Demonstrates how to access the website
2. Programme Review - Contains the unique code for the overall major
3. Teaching Survey - Contains the unique code for individual subject (e.g you are taking 4 subjects per semester, you will have to look for 4 unique codes and enter them individually as per the Guideline)

2. BMFIN-Y2 - For students who entered directly into Year 2 of Finance major

The following subjects are available for reassessment in April 2011. Subjects that are not in this list will most likely be examined in August 2011.
If you have to redo assignments, all the questions will be released on the 1st April 2011 and ALL assignment due dates will be on 18th April 2011. Any delay in submission of assignment will be awarded a ZERO. Resit timetable will be released by the 31st March 2011.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - You must take the resit when it is offered. Failure to do so, you will automatically be awarded a ZERO regardless of whether you sat for the papers or not.

How do I sign up for resit?
Before you start, please check if the subject is available for resit in April 2011. If yes, do the following steps.
1. Obtain Resit from Business Department Reception Counter
2. Fill up the subjects to be resat for April 20113. Fill up all student particulars required on the form (Use KDU AND Keele ID please)
5. Proceed to A&B, submit form and make payment of RM200/module
5.1 Obtain receipt from A&B and proceed to see PL to obtain assignment question (if you are required to resit the assignment - see below for more details)6. Check back blog to see if there are any changes to the timetable (time, venue, etc.)
What should I resit?
1. If you obtained an overall PASS but failed one component (i.e. assignment), you are NOT required to resit
2. If you obtained an overall FAIL and fail only Final Exam, you are only required to sit for Final Exams3. If you obtained an overall FAIL and fail only Assignments, you are only required to sit for Assignments
4. If you obtained an overall FAIL and fail both Final Exam and Assignments, you are required to do BOTHCan I skip this resit and do it next time?
1. ABSOLUTELY NOT! You must resit those subjects offered in April 2011. If you do not resit, your progression into Year 2 or Year 3 will be affected and you will automatically fail.Date - 24/3/11

Dear all,
Many students have approached me to enquire about resits for their subjects that they failed in January 2011.
Basically there are 2 resit periods in a year (April/August) and students MUST sit for that paper when it is offered for reassessment. Students cannot choose when or where to take their reassessments.
Once I have obtained the confirmed subjects to be resat in April 2011, I will post the list here and provide instructions on how to register for it. Please be informed that there is a resit fee of RM200 per subject to be paid before students sit for exams.
Additional information -
1. If you have overall FAIL and you failed assignment and exam, you have to resit both.
2. If you have overall FAIL and you failed only 1 component, you only have to resit for that component (assignment or exams)
3. The list of subjects are prepared by Keele, students cannot requests for subjects that they want.
What is overall FAIL? - the final marks after taking into account your assignment(s) and exams.

A) Timetable has been updated - refer to #5. This timetable will take effect from 21st February 2011 onwards.
B) ORIENTATION organised by student council - All NEW students are required to attend an orientation on 25th February 2011 (Friday), 930am - 12pm at LH1. Attendance is COMPULSORY. Please take this opportunity to miggle with your seniors as well as other coursemates.

2. a) FEE PAYMENT - Ensure that you make all fee payment by 28 February 2011.
b) RETURNING Students can pick up the registration forms from 14th February 2011 onwards at the Business School reception area. You are advised to register early in order to make your fee payment within the stipulated timeframe provided.
c) PROFORMA INVOICE - If you have yet to have your proforma invoice after submitting your subject registration form, please collect it from A&B. I saw quite a few proforma available for collection.
3. Consultation Hours - to sign off registration forms. Please adhere to the times as I have classes and other matters to attend to outside these hours.
4. First Week - Lectures only - to begin on 16th February 2011 (WEDNESDAY) onwards. Lectures and tutorials to begin from 21st February 2011 (MONDAY) onwards.
